BAKER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

The Baker County Board of Commissioners met for the February 17, 2023 Special Commission Session. Present were Commissioner Shane M. Alderson, Commissioner Christina Witham and Commissioner Bruce A. Nichols. 

1.      Call to Order/Invocation/Pledge of Allegiance

Commissioner Alderson called the meeting to order and led the invocation and the pledge of allegiance.

3.      Scheduled Business

a.       Executive Session per ORS 192.660(2)(h): to consult with counsel concerning the legal rights and duties of a public body with regard to current litigation or litigation likely to be filed.  The Commissioners will return to Regular Session immediately following Executive Session to make a decision. 

The Commissioners returned from Executive Session and discussed the following:

Commissioner Nichols moved to authorize County Counsel Kim Mosier to sign the Common Interest Joint Defense and Confidentiality Agreement of the Oregon Secretary of State and Several Oregon Counties Regarding Thielman, ET AL. V. Fagan, ET AL., No. 3:22-CV-01516-SB (D. OR.). Commissioner Witham seconded the motion. Motion carried.

a.    The February 17, 2023 Special Commission Session adjourned at 12:55 p.m.
