BAKER COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
The Baker County Board of Commissioners met for the June 21, 2022 Commission Session. Present were Commissioner Bill Harvey and Commissioner Bruce A. Nichols. Commissioner Mark E. Bennett attended via conference call.
1. Call to Order
Commissioner Harvey called the meeting to order.
2. Agenda Changes/Additions to the Agenda
Commissioner Bennett moved to adopt the June 21, 2022 agenda as presented. Commissioner Nichols seconded the motion. Motion carried.
3. Citizen’s Participation
a. None
4. Review/Approval of Minutes
a. None
5. Scheduled Business
a. Executive Session per ORS 192.660 (2)(h): To consult with counsel concerning the legal rights and duties of a public body with regard to current litigation or litigation likely to be filed. Executive Sessions are closed to the public. The Commissioners will return to regular session immediately following the Executive Session for any decisions that need to be made.
b. Executive Session per ORS 192.660(2)(f): To consider information or records that are exempt by law from public inspection. Executive Sessions are closed to the public. The Commissioners will return to regular session immediately following the Executive Session for any decisions that need to be made.
The Commissioners returned to regular session and stated the following:
Commissioner Nichols made a motion that the Commissioners reject the settlement proposal from Mr. McCarty and end mediation on the Pine Creek litigation. Commissioner Bennett seconded the motion. Motion carried.
