Baker County, OR:  On December 15th, 2016 at 6:00PM Baker County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider two Plan Amendments, County Cases PA-16-001 and PA-16-002.

 

The continuation of case PA-16-001 is a proposal by Richard and Lori Daniels, to re-zone a ±4.5 acre portion of their property from Timber Grazing (TG) to a Tourist Commercial Limited Use Overlay Zone. The property is Tax Lot 400 of Township 07 South, Range 38, Section 05C, W.M., addressed as 51078 Anthony Lakes Highway, North Powder. The applicants propose 16 full-service RV sites and a commercial dwelling for a business office, caretaker residence, and retail space to accommodate on-site guests.

 

Case PA-16-002 is a proposal by Helge Bros., LLC to re-zone property in Tax Lot 1600 of Township 9 South, Range 37 East, Section 20 from Rural Residential to Mineral Extraction.  The property is part of the Sumpter Deep Gravel Mining Claim patent.

 

The applications and other materials are available from the Planning Department and will be evaluated using criteria listed in the Baker County Zoning Ordinance Sections 260, 360, 410, 420 and 440. All written testimony must be submitted to the Planning Department by no later than 5:00 p.m. on the hearing date or submitted in person during the hearing.
