The Baker County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at

6:00 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 to hear the following matters:


: Bill and Sharie Andrade are the owners of the property located on a 4.69+/- acre parcel at 42165 Stanciu Road and are appealing a decision of the Planning Director. The property is identified as Tax Lot 200 in Section 20 of Township 9 South, Range 45 East, W.M., in the Exclusive Farm Use Zone (EFU). On August 10th, 2015, Shirley Dively applied to the Planning Department for approval to use an existing mobile home as a Temporary Hardship Dwelling which was denied given that the criteria for relative of property owner, listed in ORS Chapter 215, was not met. The appeal will be reviewed under the criteria listed in the Baker County Zoning Ordinance Sections 410.03(A)(9) and 360.02. A copy of the application, all documents and evidence submitted by or on behalf of the applicant, and the applicable criteria are available for inspection at no cost. A digital copy of the documents can be emailed to you at no cost, or a hard copy can be mailed to you by post mail, upon request, for a reasonable cost. Persons wishing to comment on the proposed application may do so by submitting written testimony to the Baker County Planning Department no later than 5:00 pm on the date of the hearing. Testimony may also be given in person by attending either hearing. The hearing will be held at the Baker County Courthouse, 1995 Third Street, Suite 131, Baker City, Oregon. The Planning Department is located in the basement of the courthouse.

: Mike Voboril is applying for a conditional use permit for a Major Home Occupation. The site proposed is on the outskirts of Baker City Oregon on a 205.49+/- acre parcel identified as Tax Lot 100 in Section 19 of Township 9 South, Range 40 East, W.M., in the EFU. Mr. Voboril owns MMW Electric Motor and Pump Repair, Inc, a company that provides residential and irrigation water system services in Baker and neighboring counties. Mr. Voboril is seeking permission to conduct the business from a shop on the property of his primary residence. The home occupation request will be reviewed under the criteria listed in Baker County Zoning Ordinance Sections: Chapters 150, 210, 360, 410, and 760.
